Why I Am Running

It has been my passion and life’s work to teach and empower individuals and businesses so they can achieve greater results in their lives and careers. Now, I want to bring that same passion to the city of High Point.

I am running for Mayor of High Point because I believe we can be the single-most livable, safe and prosperous community in America. It’s a great vision.

We all know that High Point has enormous untapped potential as an international city with the quaint hospitality of a hometown. We are attractive to industry, poised for growth and one of the most accessible places in the Southeast.

Yet, amid this great city of possibilities, we still have areas with high levels of poverty and crime, lack of sustained industry and governmental operations that are not as efficient as they need to be to advance the vision.

I believe that great cities are the result of purposeful and unified planning. As importantly, I believe that the timely execution of those plans is also critical.  We have a vision of what we want High Point to become. My goal is to unify and lead the team intent on seeing that vision get off the paper and into our lives.

I am committed to improving communication among our residents; fostering unity across all of our community; planning for sustainable, quality growth; enhancing job creation and retention; improving our standard of livability for everyone; and engaging our neighborhoods to become active participants in shaping our future.

I know that greatness is attainable for High Point. I pledge to approach the issues that are holding us back from a fresh perspective with a new energy and commitment to secure a bright future for decades to come.

Please join our campaign. Make a contribution. Volunteer some time. Get involved in helping to bring about leadership that works for High Point.
